Baby Steps with the Everyday Ware

M:out of my lovely glassware is etched, cut, or an elaborate shape, so I am starting with a regular drinking glass. Even this piece is not straightforward.

I think I got the overal shapes and lines and did a hair better with lighter lines, although most of it is still too heavy-handed. However, I had a tough time with the reflections (partly because of how they overlapped the lines/shapes on the glass. As such, it made the white on black pointless.

Here is the sketch and glass (not the angle from which I drew as the shadow of my ipad was in the way to take this) — and Opus in the background.
