This sketch is two things:
1 – proof that I’m making progress, though my stonework still needs practice (heck, I’ve done better but large bricks threw me)
2 – lucky to have happened at all, let alone with such detail (Detail was the plan with a snow day, but I was sitting here in two sweatshirts – both with the hoods up. The house was on 60 degrees and the thermostat had nothing on the display. Freaked me out a bit, but it does seem to be working now. Fingers crossed.)
Although this week is gates, and there’s barely any gate here, it IS still fitting with the theme. Other than what was mentioned above, my shading needs smoothed out, and the cutouts seem too sharp, but I’m pleased with this. I’m also happy that I was ale to sit down and take my time on it. That patience, effort, and time used shows.
